Christmas Comes Early This Year!!

Dear Santa,

So far through 2008, I've been a really good boy. I'd decided to stop harassing those crazy bus drivers, no more bullying kindergarten kids, i even stop my subscription on "How to take over the world, for idiots" magazine. See, I'd change. That is why i hope that you would drop by earlier this year instead of the usual 25th December routine. The reason for this is because Apple just released their brand new Mac Book and Mac Book Pro and since I've been a really really good boy, can you make a bit of arrangement for my presents to come earlier this year ? Say yes, please ?

How i met " how i met your mother" .

Okay, some of my friends has been telling me to watch this new sitcom called "How i met your mother". Well it's not exactly new, its in 4th season as of this writing. And knowing how i usually react to new series, i said i should wait for the right moment when i'm free or at least not so hectic, since i'm in the middle of tons of works, deadline after deadline. Hell, i don't even have time to blog, that's how busy i am or thats how busy i wanted it to sound.

But the unfortunate happened and it happened two days ago. It's midnight and i'm stuck at my works, feeling uninspired, bored and tired. I told myself that i should get some light entertainment to refresh my mind, and since i finished all the "friends" episode just recently(thats for another time folks). I kinda tried my luck by googling "watch online how i met your mother" and alas for me it did came out with few site that i can watch the sitcom online. So i did open a site and watch the first episode of season 1 and whadaya know...okay wait for it...as of writing this i'm on...wait for it....here it comes, wait for it......Season 2 episode 10.

So bye bye works and hello "How i met your mother". I'm hopeless..sigh..legendary!.

Haven't been sleeping properly this last 2 weeks, not sure what is wrong beside too much going on inside my tiny big head. Well let's worry about that next time, shall we?

"Wow" is the second reaction i had, while the first one was more like " really? another one bite the dust,poor girl?". That's the reaction when Fandy told me that Scarlett Johansson just release a music album. Alright i might be too harsh assuming i haven't even heard one track of it, but well my excuse was erm let see Paris?. Erm okay back to Scarlett, Her debut album "Anywhere i lay my head", which is a tribute album to Tom Waits, totally exceeded my expectation, i was expecting pop music bling to the max or another RnB Hip Hop act with Timbarland or Pharell as the producer but what i found was a totally indie album with very 80's sound Jesus and Mary chain like. Big up to Dave Sittek (T.V. on the radio) He acted as producer. David Bowie, by the way, also sings on a couple of songs. I have to admit though i liked her voice way before this, i reckon she has one of the most sexiest voice ever. And it's totally not a vanity project as she drove down to Louisiana with Dave to the the studio with a spooky, fog-enveloped surroundings instead of big studio in New York or LA.

Damn, i'm tired as hell, havent properly sleep since 2 days ago.

i'm still pretty much stuck on the 707 project since my last post which is last nite, hope to get through it tonight though.

New Faces

Did a bit of redesign for the blog, hope the colors is okay.

Was thinking of re-doing the whole blog but too lazy to do it at the moment, i wanna change the whole thing, erased the old post and start fresh, but maybe do it some other time.

if you want it

Ever heard the phrase " if there is a will, there is a way ". When I was asked by my buddies to contribute here, I thought to myself - hell do I have the time? But then I really wanted to, since it is one of my lifelong ambitions to contribute something to magazines, and now that the chance arrives, it might be one of many or it might be the last one!

So the next question in mind is where do I start? This is harder than I thought it would be, thus to the pile of magazines we go! Who knows some brilliant inspiration might come if I read something written by other writers, not that I want to copy and plagiarise but we all need someone or something to inspire us, don’t we? Or maybe it is just me..Oh stop that cheat jibes, all you jealous people! Maybe that is what is wrong in our creative industry where people don’t know the difference between copying from and inspired by...but let’s leave that for another time shall we?

Going through piles of recently issued magazines, I found they share something in common, it seems Global Warming is the hot topic for early 2008! Global Warming is the shit! It’s cool, it's hip, it's the now and here theme! Does this has anything to do with the documentary by Mr. Al Gore, The Inconvenient Truth, I don’t know how many of you has seen the movie, but I have to say that I respect the person for making this documentary about global warming. It is truly ethical for him to show how much he cared for our world, but.... I don’t know maybe it's just my sarcasm and cynical being, I just don’t get it, why in the world did he include the scene where he lost the election to junior in a documentary movie about Global Warming? Is it another political move by Mr. Gore? Or another typical American scam? Well aside from that, I really respect what he did, at least he decided to act by making the documentary.

That is what I reckon people nowadays should do, instead of declaring what they believe and telling others to listen to them, why can’t you just act it out? I love this quote from Mr. Lennon where he said " War is over, if you want it ". So really, people, what matters most is whether you want it or not, I mean it is pointless to keep shouting out loud about what you believe in if you do not act upon what you believe in. Instead of doing strikes (read demo) about reformation and such, why don’t you start reforming within yourself first so that people can see the results beforehand? Instead of printing about global warming on cool nice and glossy paper, why don’t use recycled paper and help reduce the use of forest? Instead of thinking what to write for a magazine, why don’t you just start writing anything and if you really want it, eventually you will get it done. Don't get me wrong though. I am not saying that good results will come out without preparation.

Here I am now, passing my 500 words quota. Well reading back to the top, I don’t really understand the words I said but then again, I manage to get the writing done on time, and by the grace of the editors, you and I might meet again in the next issue. But for now, tell yourself this “If you want it, start acting like you want it.”
